Whilst car crashes are relatively common and are usually more serious than this one shown, the crash involving the Jaguar Land Rover Automotive PLC’s IT systems seems to be nothing short of catastrophic.

Statement from JLR :
“JLR has been impacted by a cyber incident. We took immediate action to mitigate its impact by proactively shutting down our systems.
We are now working at pace to restart our global applications in a controlled manner.
At this stage there is no evidence any customer data has been stolen but our retail and production activities have been severely disrupted.”
Whilst no-one will be surprised at a major corporation being the victim of a cyber attack, the advent of AI means that attacks will become more and more automated and smaller companies will also become targets.
Are you doing enough to secure your systems? Are you doing anything at all to avoid an attack?
